William, Jane and their children
William Roscoe and Jane Griffies first met in the early 1770s, when they were both still young.
They were married on 22 Feb. 1781, which was Jane's 24th birthday, William being nearly 29.
Between 1782 and 1799 they had 10 children, 9 of whom survived childhood.
