The Roscoe genealogy, continued

The children's children
The main source for the Roscoe family tree is a privately printed volume, Roscoeana subtitled Being some account of the kinsfolk of William Roscoe of Liverpool and Jane (née Griffies) his wife (1905). The author was Frederick Warburton Dunston (1850-1815), a lawyer who was the son of the Rev. Thomas Dunston and his wife Emma Roscoe, and thus one of William and Jane Roscoe’s great- grandchildren.
Dunston was also a great book collector; in the 1880s his daughter Emma F. I. Dunston, living in Ewelme, Oxfordshire,  bequeathed her father’s collection of around 8,000 items to Oxford University, ‘the alma mater of her fathers and brothers.’ The Dunston Collection is now kept in the Bodleian Library, Oxford. (More on this at the Ewelme village website). Other Roscoe-related items collected by Dunston are in the William Andrews Clark Memorial Library, University of California, Los Angeles, USA.

Here are the fruits of some of Dunston's researches. He was writing in the 1900s, and so a few of the dates of death are not recorded (the subjects being alive at the time!) I've filled in a few blanks; any further information will be gratefully accepted and acknowledged

______________________________________
I am short of portraits of the Roscoes' children, but I have found some of the grandchildren.

Henry Enfield Roscoe (above), chemist, university lecturer and administrator, MP for Manchester, uncle to Beatrix Potter---and a dead ringer for his grandfather!

Francis James Roscoe (above) businessman and MP in Canada

Stanley Jevons (above), celebrated economist and logician.

These people are part of my ongoing research; as yet, I haven't found any portraits  of the female members of the family mentioned above, but I do have some leads to follow up.
